Atlanta, GA - On September 28, Asian Americans Advancing Justice-Atlanta and Stop AAPI Hate will hold a crucial community gathering to discuss the passage of SB 420 in Georgia, a discriminatory land law that restricts the homeownership rights of Chinese and other immigrant groups. Local and national experts will speak about the law’s implications and the broader history of anti-Asian policies in the U.S, including the recent wave of anti-immigrant land laws in Georgia and nationwide. The event aims to empower community members by ensuring they are informed about their rights when seeking to start businesses or purchase real estate under this new law.

The event will also provide an open forum for community members to share their stories, voice concerns, and ask questions about SB 420.

Community members are invited to register to attend the event.

Media are invited to attend, rsvp is requested, please contact jwoo@advancingjustice-atlanta.org
