Asian Americans Advancing Justice-Atlanta has and will continue to condemn all acts of political violence. No matter the perpetrator or target, it is an affront to our democratic system and our communities. Ready access to deadly weapons and calls for political violence threaten our lives and the future of the democracy that we are committed to protecting.

From the continued violence and hate faced by Asian and ethnic minority communities around the country, to the extrajudicial killings of communities of color by police and border officials, to the war crimes taking place in Gaza, and the authoritarian response to student demonstrators at home—these are not just acts of aggression but direct challenges to the principles of justice and peace that we strive to uphold. The violence that occurred at the Trump rally in Pennsylvania is a symptom of this larger issue of political violence that persists across various communities. We denounce any and all acts of political violence and remain committed to addressing their root causes.

Asian Americans Advancing Justice-Atlanta is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting the civil rights of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders (AANHPI), and other marginalized communities in Georgia and the Southeast
