Senior Policy Associate

Thông (pronounced as Tom) Phan is the Senior Policy Associate at Advancing Justice-Atlanta. Thông previously worked as a state budget and tax analyst at South Carolina Appleseed, where he focused on Medicaid expansion. He also worked as a fair housing client advocate in Boston fighting for people who faced illegal discrimination and possible eviction. He believes in the power for change of civically engaged communities and diverse coalitions.

Thông received a Bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina and a Master of Public Policy from the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan.
