Civic Engagement 101 Series

Civic engagement strengthens and empowers communities to be cohesive and politically engaged. Therefore, we created 4 modules for community members to inform, encourage, and reaffirm people’s work and belonging in civic and legislative spaces. The modules — Voting, Local Government, State Government, and Community Building — stress the critical roles that community members can play in deciding the laws that govern their daily lives and livelihoods. Each module seeks to make clear otherwise complicated or inaccessible information on levels of government and how community members can make their voices heard. We hope these resources will offer a starting point for those new to civics engagement and advocacy.
