We are stemming the tide of voter apathy, one person at a time.
That's our philosophy and approach at Advancing Justice - Atlanta. We meet with people and small groups one by one, door to door, most often engaging Asian immigrants and refugees who have never registered or voted in America. When more people are engaged in civic life, the common good is strengthened.
There is an acute need for more inclusive policies and diversified political dialogue in the Deep South where immigrants and refugees are an emerging, high-growth demographic. We focus on three main issues: immigration, education, and voting rights.
Advancing Justice-Atlanta has developed series of in-language Know Your Rights fact sheets for the community.
Please check out the link below for list of different Know Your Rights fact sheets regarding When Police comes to your house, Post election status of DACA, ICE Raid, voting rights, and more.
Don't miss out on one of the largest gathering of Asian Americans working on social justice and civil rights in the United States. Join us in Atlanta early next year!
