Meredyth Yoon

Litigation Director

A native of Washington state and longtime Georgia resident, Meredyth's passion for racial, economic, and immigrant justice began with her life experiences as the daughter and granddaughter of Korean immigrants.

Before joining Advancing Justice-Atlanta in 2022, she represented immigrants facing civil detention and deportation as an attorney with the Southern Poverty Law Center and worked as an assistant public defender in Brunswick, Georgia. As an advocate, Meredyth is dedicated to advancing human rights, self-determination, and civic engagement among marginalized communities in the South.

She is a graduate of Oglethorpe University and the Emory University School of Law.
