Contribute to our Deportation Defense Fund which will provide grants to cover legal fees accrued in criminal and/or immigration proceedings. With the recent decision by the White House to rescind the DACA program, the need is even greater. Nearly 37,000 recipients in Georgia will lose the lawful presence granted to them by DACA. As the program is repealed, they are at increased risk of being detained and deported. It is essential to provide funding for legal fees and attorney representation so that all rights are preserved regardless of immigration status.

This fund will provide one-time grants to low-income immigrant individuals and their families facing criminal or immigration court proceedings. Legal fees and cost can quickly rise to the thousands and leave many vulnerable people without vital legal representation.
Applicants need not have any legal status to apply for a grant.
Applicants will apply for a grant from the fund. Grants are strictly for legal fees and attorney services and will be given directly to the applicant's attorney.
The funds are facilitated by Asian Americans Advancing Justice - Atlanta. A trusted legal resource for immigrant families in the Southeast since 2010.
